Making progress

I have finally kitchnered David's 2nd sock, one pair of white socks and one pair of Pop-Up-Paws.  All of the threads are woven in and they are DONE!  I will be mailing the Popp-Up-Paws to Sharon #1 to try on.  This pair is in the teal and she wants hers in white.  Because of the bind-off around the fingers I want her to try them on to see if they feel ok.  The white socks were to go to Sharon #1 but I changed my mind and will keep them.  I can see some white cotton yarn, in the sock section of my yarn cabinet, that will be more appropriate for her.  I'll probably do a lace design.

Now I need to put the pieces together for the felted slippers and get them felted.  I'm not feeling that motivated this evening, so I'll just clean up my knitting table, sit back and relax.  I do have to get things ready to go to knitting tomorrow, so that is enough for tonight.

Have I been bad snce my last post?  Yes, I have been on line spending.   On the knitting subject, I purchased the 2010 Interweave Knits magazine because of the detail on knitting in zippers.  It also has a cute double knitting hat pattern and a pattern for some socks I like.  I also purchased the DVD from Knitting Daily Workshop titled A Knitter's Guide to Color with Laura Bryant.  Amazing how much I got out of it in just one viewing.   Then yesterday I got a letter from Sasha Kagan with a listng of some kits she has put together for sale, a new book called The Classic Collection, a coupon for 10 (something) off and a picture of a beautiful scaf in intarsia and lace.  Ohhh so tempting!  My KP order came, so I have the soles for my slippers and a bunch of miscellaneous items, including some Eucalan Wool Wash.

A funny:  In the middle of the night, actually very early this morning, I'm half awake and in the bathroom.  All of a sudden there goes a black streak past the bathroom door towards the washer/dryer.  Oh S***t!!  A mouse.  Now I'm wide awake, grabbing a mouse trap and the peanut butter I set the trap.  Sure enough, this morning I awake to a mouse that needs to be dispatched to the garbage.  My dear sweet bird tried to tell me there was a MONSTER in the house.  He screamed and yelled at me for two days!  Mommy, HELP!  Mommmmmmy!  The last time I had a mouse he acted exactly the same!  Now I will listen to my bird and I've set out another trap!  By the way, he, my bird, is being soooo quiet now!
